done for the resolution side challenge for january

my theme is composites, overlays or textures ..

this morning .. me and katee went for a walk .. after yesterday shooting the spider .. i had the 100mm macro on because i thought i might find some insects ..
we got to the top of the hill and there were these horses who were very interested in katee .. i couldnt get back far enough to fit them all in the frame because of the bushes etc .. would have been great to have the 24-105 on instead ..

but in the left hand pic the horses are looking at katee .. and then katee came up to say hello .. so cute .. ;)

used this as a texture/overlay ..

in yesterday's post of the bnw spider with the cobweb overlay .. i just put in the original in my comment there ..
but seeing most ppl have already seen that black and white they probably wouldnt see it .
so i'm putting it in here in case ppl were interested in the original photo .. that had a tiny bit of photo stacking and sharpening .. he had a bit of fluff on his face and around his eyes .. probably from being behind the picture on the wall .. havent dusted there in forever .. ;)

Katee & Co.

I really like the shot of Katee greeting her friends. Nice use of B&W.

Love both of these, but the one with Katee is special.

Wonderful, soulful images.
I'd definitely prefer them on their own, no caption either.
If possible post them again individually. They're just amazing captures and beautiful processing

Oh, I love this Roz! Both pictures are fabulous. (I love horses btw.) Because of the second photo, the first tells the story of the inquisitive horses watching the out of frame Katee, while the second frame shows the reciprocation of curiosity and friendship. Love, love, love it.

You've told a story. The full frame composition of the first image is terrific and works by itself.

You really filled the frame with that first one, works well.

This is particularly nice - they do look as if they are having a bit of a chat. Nice frames, presentation - I especially like the movement from the one on the left to the one with Katee in it, from suggestion to completion of a story. Very satisfying.
