December Beach Break

This is the middle section of a much wider shot. The rest added nothing to the story.
The dog was there waiting for his kiteboarding master (or was it the jetskier? He seemed to go and greet everyone who came out of the water.) to come back in, sometimes he raced up or down the shore, sometimes he stood in the water and sometimes he just sat on the grass and watched. He wasn't at all distressed. Probably this happens a lot.

I almost feel sorry for the dog, pining there on shoreline watching all the humans have fun :)

I love how this has 4 different elements to take my eyes through the whole scene. I think I saw someone else use the word zig zag and I think that fits perfectly here.

I'm sure he belonged to someone, my guess is the kiteboarder. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful seascape. I love the parasail -- it's a green new moon!

This photo is an instant favorite. There is a certain Jules Verne story here, a story that I want to hear on and on.
I first thought that it was a composite image which would have been fine with me also.
The zig-zagging of the composition is spectacular. Such is color, pp, etc. Congratulations!

Wonderful. I agree with jagar about the placement of the elements. My favorite is the way the kite, both in shape and in position, looks like a most unexpected crescent moon. That top third with the kiteboarder and kite is yet another image, quite surreal somehow.

I love photos with relationships, implied or explicit, and this is one of them. Terrific composition.

This is such a great composition, everything is exactly where it should be, almost to perfect as in a dream.
