i really love the colours in this. nice detail and texture in the hair. good flow to it, punctiated by the nose.

i don't vote in member challenges, of course, but i did pick this picture as one of my favorites, i found it incredibly moving, and the title was very fitting as well...

I thought it was the state of disheveledness which indicated the long time. It' rare to see a photo this "expressive" without seeing the eyes.

I'm sorry but I just don't get it. It is an interesting study in texture. Colors, contrast and levels are fine. Comp's okay. Great focus. But in the end I see no real relevance to theme and the title doesn't help me.

This is disturbing. THis dog looks like Sammy Hagar after too many tequila shots. SEriously, th ecrop is tooo tight. Back it up there partner.

hey is there a dog in this picture somewhere I see a nose. I feel this is a "little weak in meeting the challenge. (but it was a tough one to meet). I also feel it is a little over exposed in spots. Overall decent and interesting shot.

Oh, too funny. Thank goodness for that nose, or I wouldn't have known what I was seeing. Great focal point. I am unsure how this symbolizes the passage of time, but nice use of textures and light.

Excellent detail and lighting, but I don't see anything that connects to the challenge for me (took the hair a long time to grow?), and it also isn't particularly engaging as a composition.

Great animal photo! Is this a real dog? It sure looks like it with that wet nose! Poor thing!!!! Excellent composition! Lighting in upper right is a bit harsh but doesn't really take away from the photo. I like it!
