I enjoy these bold silhouette shots and this one is particularly good. Haloing can be a problem when shooting towards the light and you handled this well. |

this is a great silhouette. lots of complexity but it all seems well controlled, not confusing and mixed up the way silhouettes of multiple objects can be. |

Fine title. The heavy hand of construction and the knowing glance of religion. The silhouettes are certainly powerful and create elegant negative spaces. I like the modest sepia background with its nicely toned periphery. Very handsome. |

Good title . . . this looked somewhat menacing from the thumb and it still does.
And now I read Andi's comment . . . I'd missed the cross, too, despite the subtle glow around it. Thanks to both of you.

Love the simplicity and strength shown here. Your title took me off on a tangent and led me to Wikipedea and this... The title is an allusion to the doxology often recited at the end of the Lord's Prayer: "For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever, amen."
Then I came back to your image and saw the cross! Very (very) clever. |
