This is realy cool image and humorous. Think that big factor of low scoring is because of it´s size. |

insane! but i like it. try next time making the image bigger. this is only like 200x200 pixels it appears. i find viewers like the larger 640x400 images here, more impactful. |

First thing I did coming to view the results was to find your pic and see how it went...
It has POWER !
Maybe you didn't get as much as you would like cause it don't fit the challenge so well.
I liked it anyway's. GJ. |

I'm disappointed this did not do better. I think you had one of the most interesting shots in this challenge. Oh well, ya win some, ya lose some. |

returning for comment:
Rather bloody and not my taste, but the set up is very good and so is the models expression. You should consider taking advantage of the 640 across. Bumping up to 7 |

I think too staged to show any authority...or is that a Red Cross worker? LOL Do nurses wear hats any more? Pic must have been made for some other use and didn't really fit into this theme? Posing is strong and is intensified by the one hidden eye...yes, she does look a bit "out of sorts!" :-) |

Doesn't really say "authority" to me so much as "psycho"... |

cool, but should be bigger, great idea |

Probably won't do well here because the people here don't tend to like gory photos, but I like it. Couple of criticisms, though. First off, it is way too small. Try to take full advantage of the maximum size. If you need pointers, PM me. Also, I would have liked to have the whole meat cleaver in the frame. |

This image just plain bothers me. I am sure you have heard that a gazillion times so I am sorry if that is the case. There are so many hard working nurses, that I think this sells them out. I know, I know, it is intended as artistic expression. The angle makes her look more like the victim, but then that expression on her face blows that theory. Intense and effective use of color. Great lipstick; it certainly parallels the concept and makes it look as if maybe she has taken a bite or two of her victims. I have to say this image certainly got my attention and evoked emotion. Yikes! |

A tad bizzare... Not sure I see any "authority" here - violence and power, yes, but no authority. |

CREEPY!
But I like it and it fits with the title but it kinda doesn't fit with the subject...

This could be a great emotional-impact photo but it's so small it can't really appreciate it fully. Also, IMHO, lose the border. |

Authority? Heck yeah! I can't tell if you have destroyed one of my fantasies, or created a new one! |

|
11/25/2004 07:38:22 PM |
Oh man you are going to get cut to shreds over this one.... :P.
An okay idea, the nurse looks suitably menacing, but the focus appears a little too soft, the image is too small and I dont necessarily equate psychotic with authority. |

Cool!!!!!!! Enough said. 7. I changed my mind. Even though I feel this doesn't display authority. I really like it, So I am giving you a 10. The only 10 out of all pictures. I hope you win. Good Luck |

I don't really know if I should like this image so much. But it has to be the totally different approach and how well you have achieved it. I love how you have presented this idea. It makes you stop and think and have a really good look. This one amazes me. And I have to say she's a great model. That's one hell of a psychopath I am looking at. It's just brilliant. I just wish the image was slightly bigger. And I hope you don't get voted down for the subject matter and the size of the image.
It's one of my favourite images in the challenge. Superb job. Just brilliant. |

Nice Resident Evil feeling in this one. But I can't see the link to the challenge topic. Okay, let's pretend there was one. The small width and height destroy many of the details which clearly are important to your composition. I'd have liked to see this one a bit bigger. |
|
|
11/24/2004 07:06:32 AM |
!!! Nice, nice nice! Don't think it will get a whole lot of other 9s, though. It's a 9 because of the size and a somewhat too harsh of a shadow on the wall. Edit: upgrading to 10. It's one of the two decent ones in the whole lot. |
|

11/24/2004 07:01:18 AM |
next time a little bigger ... but continue with the same humor :) |

Why so small? Great pic otherwise. |

In some sick way... I find this kinda sexy. LOL. |

cute... could've been larger, would've looked even better as 640x640... |

LOL! Good composition and imagination. |
|
|
11/23/2004 09:40:57 PM |
too small. should be about 600 pixels on a side. |
|
|
11/23/2004 09:28:44 PM |
You may want to resize your photos to 640 pixels next time... |
|
|
11/23/2004 08:49:58 PM |
Disturbing, yet beautifully composed. Saturated with psichological tension. |
|
|
11/23/2004 08:33:13 PM |
Gruesome. I think I have that same exact cleaver. :)
Subject matter: inappropriate. Nurses don't usually get away with slaughter and thus they have no authority in this sense. Hmm...she looks pretty crazy though and thus defies authority. Bottom line is though that she's small framed and I think I could take her out.
Photographic merits: very high potential. The expression on her face is perfect. The lighting is hard and appropriate for the subject matter. You could have made this larger and thus had greater visual impact.
Overall this has a lot of potential. One of the more interesting entries for sure. Had this photograph utilized the full potential of 640 pixel dimensions, I would easily give this one the highest rating. |

I don't quite get this one. It's a bit outside the box. Ideal for a "slasher pic" challenge, but a bit gory for this. |
|
|
11/23/2004 08:18:42 PM |
sick, sick, sick. i'm sure you had a lot of fun doing this. next time, you might want to submit a slightly larger image (you can go up to 640 pixels on the longest side). |

thats not like the nurses i know haha |
