 Time is an abstract, almost fuzzy concept. I wanted a photo capturing this aspect as well as the ever forward motion of time. An almost circular arc impies continuity (orbit) without actually ever repeating the same path (spiral?) The clockwise direction links in the familiarity of clock-hand direction. Well that was the idea anyway.

B&W/macro mode on camera, 8 second exposure using single candle as light source.

Camera remained stationary as watch moved in two steps by hand to produce desired arc. (Wait four seconds, move qucikly one watch width, then slowly out of frame to right.)

Post Edit: Dust and scratches filter applied to clean up worst of digital noise whilst preserving "film" grain. Spot editing remove some shadows and background surface imperfections. Masked contrast to brighten watch and higlights.

This may have turned out better in colour beign a gold watch. But I took the shot in B&W so couldn't revert.

Your image conveys the message nicely but maybe just a bit too nicely. It seems a little traditional. Beautiful crisp images on the face of the timepiece.

Love the blur. Not so sure about the B&W. I feel that the motion could be brought out more if in colour. Could be wrong, though.
