We've been having unseasonably good weather in Seattle - mid-80s, cloudless skies, no rain. Trouble is, when you photograph it, it looks like the absence of weather, and therefore would earn DNMC comments from viewers.
So, I drove to Mt. Rainier Thursday evening. The forecast was "partly cloudy", which proved to be true at the 14,000 foot summit, but mostly cloudy at 6,400 elevation at Sunrise. I hiked around for a few hours in the fog and toward the end of that time, it began to clear.
I like this photo because it's got some clean mountain parts, and trees, and more or less dramatic clouds. And it has a gradient fog just revealing more areas at the bottom. I also like it because I like being here.

1) Merge to HDR and Tone map - Photomatix
2) Remove a distracting tree branch - PSCC 2018
3) Blur part of the clouds slightly - PSCC 2018 masked
4) Crop and resize - PSCC 2018
5) Sharpen the rest - PSCC 2018 High Pass Filter
6) Save for Web - PSCC 2018
