This is the bridge that links Millennium Park to Maggie Daley Park. It is as beautiful as it is inefficient at connecting point A to B. When I thought of it for Serpentine, I was not sure how I was going to get a good shot of it. It is hard to get a good sense of the curves while standing on it. My recent Bridges entry was taken on it:


I pretty much decided I needed to buy a drone. Then, I decided my wife might not accept "so I can get a good picture for a DPC challenge" to be sufficient justification for the expense. Crazy, I know. Then, I remembered I exercise every morning on the top floor of a building a few blocks from the bridge. So, I stuffed my longest lens in my workout bag, and I got this the next morning.

I can see why you planned to buy a drone- good thing that you managed to find another solution!

Love the view of the bike/walking path feature of this park! Now that is an awesome winding path! Love the colors/tones and architecture of that elevated pathway! Excellent work in capturing a cyclist in the curve to the right for it gives the viewer a sense of scale. I do have one suggestion on how to improve the composition a bit more: crop the bottom just up to where the pathway begins so that it gives the appearance that the elevated path is coming directly out of the bottom right corner.
