 This was taken in my dorm room, using white poster board and a large black sheet of velvet as the backdrop, with some desk lamps as the only source of illumination.

Post editting in Photoshop included using:
Desaturation (obviously)
Levels
Curves
Color Balance
Crop
Sharpness
Gaussian Blur
Brightness/Contrast
Image Size

There were several places where spot editting would have helped a lot (stray white pixels) but since that is not allowed... the stray pixels are there for you to complain about :)

This is very cool, love this shot. I still don´t think you have explored this enough since this is a potential "WOW" shot for me but it´s a great idea and keep at it. 9

nice. love the contrast, though i might have liked it better if you pushed your blacks a little more, so your right eye disappeared. completely. good idea on the background; sort of a double entendre on the theme.
