Meeting the Challenge: As noted below, Waldo could have been a bit less obvious, although most people wouldn't look in a basket of fruit for a man!!

Composition: I like the mix of colors of apples, like the neutral color and placement of the basket helping to accentuate the fruit. Waldo hiding in the shadow in between those four top apples would have been great. The background could have been plainer, maybe a poster board would have worked better than the carpet. I would have just left apples in the basket as the foreground fruit is not as pretty or shiney as the apples and takes away from the image.

Technical Quality: A little vignetting noted in the corners. Love the soft lighting. No post processing problems noted. Exposure and focus are very good.

Creativity: Very good, this was a tough challenge for many of us and I think your overall idea is great.

Conclusion: Well executed photo, somewhat meeting the challenge, nice overall. I would have expected this photo to score a bit higher than it did. Maybe Waldo being so obvious brought your score down, as the technical quality is good in my opinion.

Nice still life but Waldo's not very well hidden. To me personally, this does not meet the challenge. We are to hid someone in amongst things, making it hard to find them. You have Waldo right our there for everyone to see. But it is a nice rich still life.

Although Waldo is not really hidden all that well you have met the challenge. The focus is good, those apples sure look shiney. Did you polish them up first before taking the shot? I would have prefered to have used a different background for this one though, that gray carpet gives this photo a kind of bland feeling to it.

A different background/floor would have helped this picture...the carpet makes it seem less professional and more haphazard.

Easily spotted Waldo. Nice still life. Clean carpet! 7 Swash

I like your little waldo figure. The texture of the carpet is nice too.

Your title is accurate - this is a basket of fruit. Yes, waldo is included - although he isn't hidden very well. In terms of the photo it is well composed, the colours are nice and the reflections make the fruit shine without overpowering the image. Personally I would have removed the non-apple since it's not a very photogenic piece of fruit.

Interesting, but rather obvious. Your light looks great, like daylight.
