I like the sharp image of the forground and the way the picture is broken up with different textures. A great depth of field really made this image work. The only change I would make is move the person lower and to the left of where it is now. Placing it that high in the corner makes it seem like some one walked into the pictue by mistake. Very good image overall and deserved a higher final score. Good luck in the future. John Gill

Good job, I like the title. Neat shot of the sand and water.

Beautiful photo. Love how you start at the very bottome with the water and follow it all the way to the ocean. Great job of focus. Good composition nicely executed> BUT , and I'm as tired of writing this as others will be of reading it once the challenge ends, I personally feel you have not meet the challenge. Waldo was/is to be HIDDEN in among he people, places, and things. I understand your thinking. But to me, putting Waldo way off by himself does not meet the challenge of hiding him. But I dolove the hoto other wise.

Very nice. I like how you incorporated elemts in the foreground. Everything looks pretty crisp. 9 Jacko.

Very unusual perspective which adds to the pictures interest. Good job.

Nice shot. This is broken into 5 levels. First sand at the bottom and then a level of stones, then wet sand, ocean and finally sky. I like it, good job! By the way are you standing in the water taking this shot?

Waldo found! Nice scene, I've always enjoyed beach stream efflua (seriously!). Good color, focus and framing. Interest (for me at least) moderately high. 8 Swash

Very excellent, and another (one of the few) with a great title that makes the picture a 10. :) Great job and very nice picture also!

I think by shooting this picture in a little closer would have helped create more intrest to it. Nice Work

Looks like a postcard - person isn't hidden, but is not obvious at first look. Nice.

I absolutely love this picture. The composition with the water at the very top is excellent and ads slightly to the hidden nature of the person. The DOF is right on and the colors are excellent. I would have voted this higher had the challenge not implied that the person be hidden. This person is definetely not hidden, although at least they aren't the subject of the shot like some of the others. I like that you titled it big bird. I can see how someone would perhaps think they were a bird. Still not hidden to me. Maybe you could have changed that by limiting the dof in the back, but then the picture wouldnt be as good. Anyway, a great picture, forget the challenge; it made you take a great shot and thats what matters!

challenge met. nice photo, i love the beach, especially on days where there isn't a person whereever you look. maybe inspired by the perspective challenge, but did you try getting lower to see what the shot looks like from there? might be interesting, too. not sure whether you would still be able to see the person enough, and that's obviously crucial for this week. as for the frame, i think i would've added a 1 pixel black border to define the edges of your photo better before adding the white (which works well btw).
