 This is part of a neighborhood development that never got finished in Dubai. The roads got built, but I guess money or interest ran out before anything else did.

It's actually a pretty popular spot with drone and RC plane enthusiasts, as it's pretty close to the city and out of the way of anything dangerous.



My first ever blue on a free study! Thanks for the votes and comments!

P.S. yes that's me in the frame, trying to hide my remote control in my right hand and look like I'm lost :)

Not easy to accept a Red with 7.55, but your image is super. I had seen this spot before and you used it in a perfect way. Congrats on the Blue.

One of the best photos I̢۪ve seen in a free study in a long time. I remember seeing a lot of those developments as we landed in Dubai, and I took a few shots. I nearly thought about entering one for a free study also. Mind you it was nothing compared to your image.

Congratulations on your first blue in a free study, I thought you would̢۪ve already arrived at that goal, but it was obviously a red or yellow.

Wonderful other-worldly (figuratively speaking) image. By drone, I guess, and put to such artistic use rather than the more common birds-eye overview. Compelling story. All that lovely beige. Is that track to the left where your vehicle pulled off to be out of the shot? But where, then, are the incoming tracks? Great stuff.

LOVE THIS! I'm thinking it's a sandstorm in Dubai-I'm also wondering where on earth did you photograph this from? A tall building with a gigantic zoom lens? Or a drone?...whatever, it's a marvel truly for it's uniqueness - 10
