wow...the light and focus on this gives it an awesome old, almost nostalgic feeling...looks like an old drawing

plus, the whole camel thing is what makes it really fit the "Time Passing" subject

im surprised it didnt rate higher

Nice shot, although I think the title should be about the camel, which seems to be the main subject. (That's nit-picky on my part though). Good job.

Like the approach tremendously - your processing has achieved that sense of an aged shot very well - has the feel of a early 20th century traveller's shot. Really like the composition too. Subtle, graceful.

Very nice idea for the challenge. Composition is strong. Feels a bit over processed. I can't put my finger on it but it has to do with contrast, levels and focus I think. Or possibly the background is over blurred. Sorry, I wish I could be more specific.

Wonderful detail and tonal range in the foreground subject and pyramid/hills. The sky is very bright however, although I can make out details in the sky, which could have been brought out by applying a gradient mask. The soft focus effect adds a nice touch.

What is not readily apparent to me is the connection with the challenge theme. Perhaps this camel is taking a short rest, to pass the time...I'm not sure.

Overall, the photograph is wonderful for it's technical merits and I especially like the location. However, I feel this photo would have been better in a different challenge theme.

Interesting image in its exoticness. The smoky image adds to the feeling of memory and of the past. This image doesn't evoke the passage of time, rather the distant past.

Where is the time passing? You just said something is old.

Beautiful picture, almost looks like drawing. This picture could have been taken anytime in the last few thousand years without any distinguishing difference, well done.
