Lowish winter afternoon sun
Used channel mixer in monochrome + USM + brightness/contrast at end.
Aim: to produce a very stark image while maintaining the intricate stone patterning.

For the most part, I like this shot, the contrast is very strong and the shadows are really deep black. Although, the shot is rotated in an odd way that I feel detracts from the image. The building and the people look like they are leaning. My camera does the same thing if I take a wide angle shot, and when shooting buildings, it's an annoying result. If you stand further back and zoom in a bit, the effect is reduced. You can also get filters for photoshop that fix it, but that's if you can afford (or at least know someone that can afford) photoshop.

Interesting building but too contrasty. Whites are blown and darks lack detail. I like the shadows, however 5

Great subject! Feels like an Asimov or Orwell novel. It would be more imposing if the angle rose from right to left, I think. I like the contrast of the stark shadows.
