Never expected such a nice collection of comments on the abstract image! Thank you.
It was stupid of me to use this title...The only reason was that previous "Winter landscape" challenge and this "B/w abstract" somehow mixed in my mind and turned into "B/w winter landscape" (which I ended up not submitting, getting sick that night) and just an "Abstract". So I created a series of colorful ones, like this:

with some of them looking like Miro's colorful creations.
Only a minute before submission I realized it's supposed to be black and white...Beloved Silver Efex came to rescue.
This is the original:

just a gas cap on an old van with an ice build-up. :-)
Thank you!

Great find. Great image. The title takes the edge off, however.

Doesn't remind me of either of the named painters but the image is very evocative of early Rauschenberg's technique. Anyway its in my top three..

Terrific abstract full of texture and tone, with the viewer's eye being drawn to the perfect circle amidst the wilder entirety. It's funny how the mind struggles to impose meaning and logic on a realm with a quite different visual physics. I've tried here and failed. There's possibly a tenuous bridge, but how do you find it? But that's what deeply engages a viewer, and when it's well done, as it is here, the abstract welcomes you in for a ponder.
It's a tie.

Wow. Totally artistic. High score. I might have worked in PP to under-emphasize the middle area to highlight the top and/or circular region.
