 Taken in the beautiful French village of Eguisheim in the Alsace region. The entire area is like stepping into a Toulouse Lautrec painting and if you ever get the chance you should go.

While the original struck me as a perfect scene for this challenge I got the feeling from the forums that some sort of filter use was expected so I tried the 'oil painting' and liked it enough to submit it. After a day or two I felt there may be too many entries using this filter (didn't notice too many in the end) and I looked around for an alternative.

Eventually I found Painnt and it allowed me to mix in the strength as well as many other adjustments to give me the look that I felt wasn't too over the top. Thanks for all the votes & comments.

cloned out signs on door, window & garage
cloned out persons window reflection and light fitting under awning

Added filter in an application called Painnt (Mac OSX)

So charming! Oddly, the table tops didn't take to the filter as well and look realistic, while the rest is charmingly pastel.
