| Great job capturing the values of the human face. Your subjects "halo" of hair adds interest complemented nicely by his scruffy beard. I would like to see some sort of connection with the subject. He seems to be disconnected and neutral. It doesn't have to be much, in fact it shouldn't be, just a subtle indication of thought or emotion. I don't like all the white space at the right of the frame. Crop closer and fill the frame with your subject's face. |

| I think you succeeded in conveying a bit of your subject's personality with this portrait. The background is great and contrasts perfectly with the rest of the shot. The shoulders are blown out highlights but I think that works here too. Might eve be better this way. Nice shot. |
