 This man was sitting on his little plastic chair, cleaning his toes, drinking tea, watching everything. The wall is maybe 100meters long with nothing else than a sidewalk. I waited till someone passed to make the shot. I took the scene from different angles, but there was another bicycle on the right side which was messing up my framing.

Being a sucker for brick walls, this image immediately grabbed my attention. Okay, and now to absorb the story being offered. Are they really so disconnected? Is the half-fallen bicycle testament to such a reading? The composition is unusual but winning. The atmosphere seems hyper-realistic. Works well on several levels.
