Thank you Mita.
There is an eye peeping out of the can. As in last December's Pareidolia Challenge, I saw a partial face in the wastepaper basket, and at the moment of recognition I was actually startled. But I suppose this sort of thing is idiosyncratic, and quirks of vision are variously parceled out. For what it's worth, I saw in the toilet paper wrapper a left eye in the blue above the orange, a partial white nose lower and to the right, a white mouth with printing on it below that, and even a necktie below the mouth. The upper right portion of the face is missing.
Can't say that awareness of the face would have made a substantial difference to the viewers, but there it is.
As always, that you for all the comments. |

I hope the opposite is true.

On the positive - the exposure and the cropping is pretty good. On the negative - I'm guessing you will be scored harshly for the subject and I'll admit I don't really know what this photo is meant to make me "feel" or "think" |

Not sure what you're going for here, but I don't think a photo of a toilet and a rubbish bin is going to go down too well. |

I saw a thread by Rich streetpigeon requesting comments on his image and since he regularly makes clever thoughtful comments I made it my mission to find and comment on his. This is the image I have decided is Rich's and I hope I have guessed correctly. I chose this because I think all of Rich's images have more depth than it seems at first glance. This is a picture of something we have all seen thousands of times but never really looked at. Three mundane objects, all well composed. The juxtaposition of the grainy wood, checkered flood and disheveled garbage seem perfect. The more I look at this the more I think it should be printed large and hung on the wall. I'm tempted to check the prints wishlist box :-). |

A high vote just for having the cajones to enter something like this, and for making me pause to comment. |

This is not worth a free study entry IMHO. A wooden toilet cover is special. 3 from me |
