 Shot at a friend's rock'n'roll band's CD release party/concert. Slightly cropped, converted to B&W using ACD Photo Editor, sharpened and saved at lowest possible compression (JPEG 100 quality).

IMHO you could have just used the mic as your subject. The Bass is distracting.

I could do without the XLR cable on the mic. I really like the depth that the base yields to the composition. 6

I like the DOF, you really get the texture of the mic. Great lighting and I just like all around! -9-

Good composition, I would suggest to put the bass in even lower position to balance the photo more and to emphesize the parallel lines of microphone and neck of the bass...

I'm sure you'll get some comments on the OOF bass not being a good idea, but I really like it, it adds depth to the image. (8)
