Hello from the critique club
An appealing image that meets the challenge well.
A good documentary style of nature image that records the osprey and its half eaten prey well. `in terms of photographic appeal I feel it is rather too central, it may have increased its impact to place the bird nearer one of the hotspots especially against the rather boring sky which obviously you had no control over. Also, the upright of the tree is rather too close to the birds face it forms a sort of block towards the free space on its left. I tend to agree with neats comments, nevertheless a pleasing entry, thanks Anton. |

A closer crop using the ROT would've enhanced this image , IMHO. I also would've cloned out the distracting elements - The dead branch to the left , and some of the leaves, but that's just me, you can just totally ignore me ;) apart from that, image is sharp, already voted. |

The lack of background really makes the bird stand out. Beautiful |

Superb bird picture, framed absurdly well by the environmental 'props'. I'm a raptor lover, and it's a thrill to see this one depicted with such precision and understanding: not too close, because that loses the context; not too far away because ... well that part's obvious. This way it tells me something intimate about the bird. Exceptional wildlife picture. Thank you. |
