Well, maybe I woldn't call it a macro. What about a take focused the other way around? I mean focus on the wire in front an let the background OOF. Nice and inspiring pic anyway. Maybe you can send it to Amnesty International.

| Good color - good focus on the top line of barbed wire. Without the title, I might not have known your intent. I like the way you triangulated the lines of the fence with the horizon. |

| The bottom piece of wire looks soo similar in colour to the rocks so gets lost. The top part of the photo, above the horizon, is great though. |

| I saw this in the thumbnail, and thought it was a beautiful photo. I don't however think that your main subject would be considered 'extreme close up'. In a way, you prove my point for me, but getting 'extremely close up' to the barbed wire, but it's not in focus. So I would just like to see the focus reversed. Focus on the front wire, not the back. That would change it for me. Still a stunning photo. Love the colors and the background is beautiful. Horizon is horizontal. (one of my pet peeves.) Overall very impressive. ~Heather~ |
