Who woulda thunk a strawberry had hair?

Sigma 105mm with a 50mm F1.4 lens reversed in front of it. I wish I could have cloned out some dust spots, but couldn't because of open challenge rules.

Over 2.25:1 magnefication because i had to clone out a part of the image.

It won't be the only strawberry shot, but it'll be the closest :)

a little bit of a change in angle would have put a lot more of your subject into the field of focus

Great Photo...but it doesn't make a strawberry look too appetizing....all hairy and with green spots, lol.

Wow, that is a close macro! Great job, the only way I would try to improve it would be to take it at less of an angle.

Wow, talk about close up! I've never seen a strawbetty this close before. It would be great to see it with a wider DoF.

high magnification like this is tough to pull off. the large balnk white space doesn't help.

Holy cow! Makes the lovely, tasty strawberry look like a scary alien bug kind of thing. What a macro! Would like to see a picture with a little more depth of field to see a few more details.

Was this an original shot or a scan from a medical book? Just kidding! Cool shot, it would have been better with with a sharper focus (I don't know what kind of camera was used, I know mine is very limited when it comes to macro...) But I'm still glad I got to see what a strawberry looks like that up close! Nice!

Wow...this is definately an extreme close up. Not quite sure of WHAT, but it does look extreme. I hate to say I really like it, in case it's something really disturbing. lol. But I do like it. I like the angled seperation of the photo. I like the Green on red, and I like the little hairy things. That is what makes this appear to be really extreme to me. Parts of the shot look a little grainy, however, still very nice. ~Heather~
