 I had no idea what to title this, obviously. The photo is pretty self explanatory - a close up shot of a ring and a small jewel/ring box. It was hard to keep this basic editing... it could be so much better with advanced. I actually managed to take this handheld, despite the slow-ish shutter speed. Yes, I know I can't speak French. Those others who can't might be impressed though! ;) Honestly, I just wanted something different in the title.

Editing: Cropped, lots of curves and level tweaking to bleach out the background (I used toilet paper for the white... it was taken early in the morning and I didn't want to wake anyone looking for something more suitable), hue/saturation, unsharp mask/sharpening, Neat Image to clear up some noise and sharpen more.

I like this setup and the lighting. I think that slightly deeper depth of field would help bring out extra details without being too distracting.

Focus and clarity are very nice! I like the small hints of color. Lighting is really great, and DOF is right where it should be. Solid color background is good, nothing distracting there, although there is a dark colored smear in the lower right hand corner. Not sure if that's from editing or something else, but it is not a huge deal. Because of the size of the object I would consider this an extreme close up. ~Heather~

The bottom and top of the jewel box are blurry (camera shake problem?) and the ring seems too sharp. Could be good using a tripod.
