A 4-star filter and a penlight on a 1 cm pin. Post processing almost zero, although I'd have liked to clone out that silly squiggle in the middle of the pin. Aperture priority set at -1.3 because that gave the most accurate exposure after dozens of attempts at getting the star at the pinhead.

Good idea, but you need to be able to see the outline of the pin. I tried it both ways, with gamma 2.2 (like most Windows) you can't see the outline at all, with gamma 1.8 it's just visible.

i like the star effect.. but the problem is lighting here... not so clear what this piece is...

I like the way you used your subject in an unconventional manner - sticking up instead of sticking in. Some of the pin was lost in the background. I really liked the way the light reflected off your subject.

Overall i think the photo is too sharpened and too dark. The star flares look cool though :)
