Greetings from the Critique Club.
This is a well composed and framed shot. I fortunately have a dog that sits still for photos but I imagine it can be a headache. I would to have liked to see more of his face. The hair in the way takes away from the photo. I disagree with the comment of wasting B&W on this photo. B&W was a good choice as I'm sure color would have been too. I think you have good DOF and choose a good crop. Maybe a little less neck as it a little soft though. All in all this a good photo. Keep up the good work. Best of luck in future challenges. |

Cute, but cuter if I could see all of him. Can't see wasting b&W on this either. Should be in color, to show his full beauty. Maybe you cropped it this closely because of the focus. What do I know. It is till good. and he's cute. |

Nice contrast and I think you've been able to convey the character of the animal, but it appears he/she could use some braces. |

Splendid! Black and white was a good choice. The dark lips and nose come out of the white and grey fur with such vigor and force that they threaten to pop out far past the black border. I would have had him looking at the camera though, especially given the title. Nice work. Cheers. |

Great dog. Black and white is well suited to this image. I think the composition could have been better if the nose was lower in the shot (~1/3 up from bottom) rather than central - too much neck and not enough eye brows. Focus on the nose is great and the shallow depth of field is interesting (but probably not my preference). Good work. |
