Thanks for all the great comments everyone! I sure appreciate the time you took. I agree that the DOF could have been better, but the shot turned out so cute that I just didn't let it bother me!

Linda, this was sooo very cute. I do agree that the focal range could have been a little wider, but for such a classic, I gave a bit of leeway!!!! Wonderful work! Very patient dog!

That is so cute! Your dog lets you do this? Nice composition, lighting, and colors. Would prefer more focus on the dog's nose.

nice ears - rest - out of focus

I think a larger F stop # would give you more DoF here and help bring that nose into focus as well

Cute but the clarity isn't there. The DOF is too shallow and the focus is on her ears, so the face is out of focus. As a sharp pic, it would do fairly well. I have mixed emotions about dressing dogs up. She doesn't seem to mind so thats good. If she could play poker though, you might really have something..... Inspzil

What a great shot. Needs a bit more focus, but you should hang this puppy on your wall. 9

I can't believe this! It's the funniest thing I have ever seen. If there was a little more focus on the snout, I'd give you a perfect score but I have to settle for a 9. Love it!!!! Addendum: I had to open this up again to show the guys in the office - they really enjoyed it and relieved a lot of their tension after a long/heated meeting.

So very cute! You have a patient dog! Love the granny glasses, great touch! Very good color, focus and framing!!! (I'm waffling on a 9 or 10.....let me think about it.....) The expression on the dog's face is just killer cute! 10 Swash

Focus could be a little better and I also feel that the main light, on the right side of the dog is a bit too bright. Increasing the distance between subject and light could have resolved that. I like the colors a lot and the look on the dog is excellent.

Would be better if the dog's face were in focus instead of the sweater...

ROFL! OMG This is the funniest photo I've seen in a while. Must have a very cooperative dog. The only complaint is that toe focus is a bit soft. But the dog has the perfect expression.

When I see dog's dressed up like this, I wonder if there's another episode of FOX's "When Animals Attack" about to be filmed. Nonetheless, great portrait.

I can't stop laughing. This is by far my favorite of the doggy photos :) It reminds me of the Irish bursar I had in university at our halls of residence. Such a clever doggy :) 10! -Annida

Oh Maddy, You are so cute! Visual impact is very striking and the photo is really sharp and in focus. I like the way the dogs eyes follow you over top of the eyeglasses. The dog's face captures you and holds your attention immediately.
I wonder if you could have moved the one light on the dog's left eye over a bit so that it would only have reflected one light from it's eye instead of two?

Very cute picture! I think this one meets the challenge very well. I can see this one ending up in the top 3 this week. It does look like the focus is just ever so slightly off.

Great job.

This has got to be number 1 and that's all there is too it. It's my first 10. Anyone who has ever tried to dress up an animal and get them to sit realizes what went into this shot. This is too much. And the expression is out of this world. By the way, the photo takes no back seat either. It is well done. I can't find anything I would change, except maybe send me the dog.. I can't quit laughing. This shot should go places. I love it. "WOW" Can't quit. Anything else good I can say.
