This a bird silhouette printed on the soundproof panels of the railroad, to prevent birds from dying by hitting the panels.
I was walking when I saw this silhouettes and I stopped by to look at them; I noticed the high voltage cables behind the "birds" and thought about the possibilities of them to die, killed by electricity, along the railroad.
So I took this shot, trying to get both the bird and the cables in the frame and to portray a very "straight" concept (animal death by human artifacts), in a kind of abstract way.
Thinking of Siskind series "The Pleasures and Terrors of Levitation", I thought this would have been a nice title for this picture, because it wants to represent both the "freedom" and the dangers of flying free.
Shot with my A7s mark II with the Canon 70-200 f/2.8 on + Canon Extender 2x III, @400mm, f/16, 1/80 (thanks SteadyShot, even though you are not that "siskindy") and ISO 25600.
Hope you'll enjoy this one,
Cheers!
