Thought I'd try my hand at a landscape shot with my Sigma 15-30mm. Turned out pretty good but I have no idea how it really looks. I have my work laptop and my parents' PC and they both look totally different. (I'm on vacation for a week).

Cheers.

Congratulations on your 15th placing. A very good nature study presented in a most romantic manner.

Very nice and right on target for the challenge. Exposure and color balance is great. Depth is good but seems a little ruined by the near-right tree. Perhaps if this were framed against the right border so as to break symetry with the narrow and more distant foreground tree to the left? Sheesh! Does that make any sesne? LOL.

Anyway... enjoy your 9, you deserve it! :)

Border is too prominent. Nice contrast of colors on the leaves and trees.

Great image, one of the best I've seen so far in the challenge. Very good composition, I like the placement of the green roots and how the balance the photo with the leafs at the top in the frame.

I like trees and I like photo's of trees, its difficult to take a photo of trees and convey the feeling of the forest though. I think this shot comes very close. The colours are nice, not over saturated I don't think, slightly over sharpend perhaps? Nicely lit, good depth to the shot, well done a six from me.

Neat looking place. I can almost smell the fallen leaves and musty forest smells. 8

Great job! Just this month I read in an Outdoor Photography magazine tips on capturing autumn photos when you've missed the peak of the season -- or when don't have a canopy of autumn leaves in the trees. It said to look for your color on the ground. You have done an amazing job at doing just that. I love this photo. 10

Stunning color contrast, I really like this and could easily see it on a calendar.

WOW! My first 10.... This is beautiful!
The color looks natural and not over saturated. Great depth of field from the foreground leaves back to the last trees. Very nice color combo with the rich green against the red leaves.
