 This image is composed of one shot. I thought I would have to manipulate 2 separate photo's, one with the car and highway and one with only the stars and sky but I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome as the stars and highway came out perfect with one shutter click.

I was also in an extremely dark area with only small cities, which could produce ambient light, miles away which you can still see on the horizon.

I'm happy with the top 10 in a FS but am disappointed at the same time. I was holding a 6.5 the entire time and the day before rollover dropped to a 6.4 then woke up to a 6.3.

Good composition and concept. The highlights on the road are just a bit blown out - a smaller aperture and consequently longer exposure might have helped that (but of course then you run the risk of ending up with star trails).

Oh. I really don't like these taillights photos.

But... THERE! You've given me ROAD in the middle of taillights blur!

And then... you've given me more to follow after THAT!


THIS is why I no longer enter Free Studies.
