 this bolt and the nuts threaded on it are from an antique pump that we have as a... ok i really don't know but its cool and its there so after taking and submitting many times i discided to go with this shot i just hope i don't unsubmit again before midnight.
i've always liked rust pattern shots and macro, so i just combined the too. this shot wasn't my absolute fav. but it held up the best when i took it and all the others down in size.(150kb)

i did some minor adjustments w/the hue/saturation,curves,
brightness and contrast.
oh and i opened up one of the windows that faces west i our home so it caught the natural light of the setting sun.

(to get it just the way i wanted.)

Shadows and geometry just right!
I've never loved a bolt with square nuts so much!

A good job but IMO I think you would have been better with a new nut and bolt which would have given stronger reflections and thus more impact. Good luck

This needs a bit more light and less shadows.

would have benefitted form a bounce so the shadow waasn't completely washed out. Good DOF, color, sharpness, composition.

Really nice DoF and colour. The lighting is great too, nice and dramatic... if a rusty bolt can be dramatic?
