 Thanks everyone for the votes and the comments! This was one of those very lucky, unexpected shots that you come across once in a blue moon. Thanks to my hubby for suggesting this road, it was a beautiful autumn day, a quiet country road, leaves floating down all around and over the crest of the hill, this cow standing in the road. Could not have asked for a better setting (or day).

What you said in your notes...the incongruous nature of the shot, with a lone bovine (can't see if it's a steer or a bull) and in the middle of a winding country lane instead of in a pasture with its herdmates. Would love to know the backstory, hope he got home safely. Very well seen and captured. Congrats on the ribbon! :-)
