I didn't even notice the plant growing out of your dad's head and I am amazed to find it at 102nd place. I gave this one of the three 10's I gave in this challenge.
I am curious what you come up with next. Good luck.

This is such a great portrait. It really expresses the relation between the person and his dog. The lighting & exposure is very good. Background looks very cool and in balance with the foreground because of warmth & the angle at which the sun illuminates it. In a way it helps to express the warm relation between the two.

Hi this must be Danny's daughter, I have some tips for you. First off this is a great portrait, very cute, and well lit, with the lighting being even on the faces, with no shadows, very nicely done! The main criticism I have for you here is the tree going out of your dad's head. When taking pictures, especially ones that you can control your settings, pay attention to your backgrounds, this would have been an almost perfect picture if you would have moved the duo over a bit, and only had what looks to be the wooden fence behind them. The leading lines in this picture are excellent everything from the iron fence behind him to the wooden fence they all lead your eye to the main focus the heads, also your dad's arms tend to bring you that as well. One other thing I might have tried would have been to move your camera a little more the the left, and gotten more if his shoulder in and maybe less of the right side in. Just an idea though. Nice picture overall! Good luck! -Talya

Pity about plants sprouting out of Dad's head.

This is a great portrait, but that bush behind the man's head is a distraction. You can always clone it out after the contest.

Like it!

You know what, the background gives a great "glow" to the pic... the only thing is a little "fill flash" would have made it an 8. As is I'd give a 7.

Great shot. Maybe wear a different shirt. The dogs blends in to much to the black shirt.

I think if Dad had of had a lighter shirt on the puppy's head would have shown up more. Overall a very nice shot.

great picture, but plants on the background are distracting... lighter t-shirt on "dad" would've helped to show the "dog" better

Excellent portrait. You two are the best of friends aren't you!

Exposure and lighting look great here. I think the shot could have been improved from a composition standpoint though - the black ears of the dog disappear into the black top, and the tree appears to come out of the persons head a little. These are only minor things though - its still quite a good shot. And the dog is looking directly at the camera, which is great.

Beautiful family portrait. We sure love our animals don't we. And they are part of the family. This is a beautiful dog. I just wish the man had a lighter shirt on so the dog didn't fade into him. I also think the bright curtains at the top make the bottom look dark, which it really isn't. It's the contrast of the shirt and the curtains. Change his shirt and retake this and earn a 10. It is a lovely photo as is.
