 Swings can make you dizzy when they're still.
Their shadows are so thin. Nothing here
proves gravity. Tidiness threatens
to sweep away your blood, which until now
filled anxiety with colors. A reddish dirt you realize
is the color of skin covers the mowed lawn,
ready to absorb the impact that's missing.
If you don't move, it all flattens out,
perspective turns diagonal, the sky turns rubber,
the trees lose their leaves to green statistics,
and no way leads in or out. If you can hold
your own breath in your outstretched hand
with all your muscles gripping but not a molecule
of you or your own life moving, and call it laughter,
then you'll know a time no clock ever told you,
and you will set it back.

Love your poem. I'm curious how the thumbnail shows a different image. Clearly this one was meant to behold.

I crawled to the monkey bars
And found myself in a rut
There were neither beers nor cocktails
But the monkeys flew out of my butt.

I swam to the milky way
And found a pig in a poke
We spend the night makin bacon
And snicker whenever we smoke.

I flew to the Dali Museum
But now can't remember the trip
Yet I got me a handlebar mustache
And a clock that goes tick tock drip.
