 More adventures with my friend Susan Ottalini.

This was in the rain room at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. 10-15 people were admitted at a time into the room, and could spend up to 15 minutes in it. The rain poured down in a square core, surrounded by a rain-less border. By approaching the rain slowly, it would stop falling in front of you, creating a dry space for you to move in. By walking slowly, you could create a dry path across the rain field. Well, dry enough....

It was remarkably loud.

And incredibly awesome.

I set up the shot, and Susan pushed the shutter :)

Outstanding image, Johanna. Love the shadows. It looks like the woman (you?) is standing on a pillar. Many congrats on your well deserved blue.

Wonderfully done, Johanna, congrats on a well-deserved blue! What a cool place to take pictures! I see a few others in the background trying to shoot something, but it takes something special to recognize the light and the opportunity. Very impressive.

Now, explain how you managed to photograph Eiffel tower in Paris and the Rain room in LACMA within one week. It is just not fair! ))

ETA: oops, I forgot that free studies are for the whole month. Just shows how out of touch with DPC I am these days ))
