 This photo was taken at Jackson Lake Dam. A Fall Monsoon had pumped moisture into the area for the past two days and overnight the temperatures had dropped into the 20's. Morning revealed a fresh first snow of the season on the Tetons Peaks. Lingering clouds hung low cloaking the lower parts of the mountains.

It is a composite stitch of 66 individual images cropped to a 1:4 final aspect ratio.

No, it was shot about 8:30AM. The morning was incredibly clear with absolutely no haze or humidity in the air.

An interesting image that meets the challenge well.

An excellent panorama, and so it should be with all those images! You’ve really captured the majesty and grandeur of the scene in a convincing way, those rugged peaks poking through the low-lying clouds are a truly wonderful spectacle. And the reflections give us a double vision that is most welcome. Clearly a lot of time, thought and effort has gone into the making of this image, well done John and thanks for sharing it with us.

Gorgeous panaorama.. elegant even. Love the reflections, the seemingly suspended cloud in the middle, and the blue hue (natural I suspect).

Somebody should call the Sierra Club, alert them to all the wonderful photos in this challenge. It's truly amazing. What a beautiful planet we have to live on. Thanks for posting this shot
