I think rotating this was not a good idea. If it were just the match it would look good because it would look windy, but with the candle on its side it just looks a bit wrong. |

I was actually thinking about something of this kind, only lighting the match on the matchbox and try to get the ignition. Gave up because of techingcal difficulties even before I began shooting. Good that you preserved. Maybe a different shot, with the candle out of view and just the match and flame would be stronger. This one is not interesting/dynamic enough, IMHO. |

Very nice picture. Sharp in its details yet the contrast between the background and the fire looks is very soft and warm (of course, it's fire!). I'll probably not be the only one to mention it, but it's realy too bad the picture was not rotated. Unless theyre was a breeze during the shooting and the flames went horizontal! Still nice! |
