Strawberry Pie

1 quart strawberries
3/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
pinch of salt
1 baked and cooled pie crust

Take 1/2 the strawberries and crush them. Add other ingredients in a saucepan and stir over medium heat until thick. Layout remaining strawberries in the pie crust. Pour thickened mixture over top and refrigerate.

This is my grandmother's simple recipe and my favorite pie.
