Durham cathedral, the river Wear, the autumn sun and colours. All I had to do was turn up!

Adjusted sharpness, saturation, contrast and shadows and highlights.

Hi greetings from the CC, this is a great scene, and you captured it well. My only 2 slight criticisms would be that I would of cropped a slight bit off the bottom so that the waterfall and the bottom of the shot make a point together, creating a pleasing diagonal (hope that made sense, in other words, crop about 3/4inch off bottom). The other thing is the sky, I live in a place where burnt skies are an issue too, I hate them. I would try reshooting at a different time of day with blue sky or sunset colors, or if that not possible PS in a color. Hope that helps, overall nice shot, beautiful spot.

I left a comment in the challenge saying that this was you, but it must have got lost!
(I had been looking through your portfolio and recognized your October Free Study shot to this one.)

Cool shot.

Not sure about the sepia looking sky, but I very much like the rest of it.

The colors seem to be slightly harsh.

Beautifully chosen viewpoint - I like the sense of scale between the house and the cathedral behind it. The autumn foliage and the golden light work well to show season. The diagonal line of the weir creates a great lead in to the rest of the image. 8

Pretty shot, but colors in the tree area seem a bit flat looking.
Maybe a little burning in the shadows give it a little more depth.

Where is that beautiful place? A graduated neutral density filter would have helped a lot here, I see you tried burning the sky, but when it's only white you can't do much to bring some colour to it. 7

Nice scenic shot. I can certainly see this in a calendar.

This is gorgeous. I don't see anything that would make it better. 10
