 I worked on this for two days trying to catch the sunlight at the perfect time and the day it was to be submitted it clouded up just before that perfect time and started raining. My husband had been out of town all week and when he got home he helped set up the lighting, I took the shot, then to the laptop and I began working on it. I was 10 minutes late getting it entered for LIGHT RAKING. BooHoo! It may not seem good to some of you pros but I thought I caught the light quite well even though it was artificial.HeHe

An appealing image that meets the challenge

It certainly seems good to me Susie, you have captured the light really well. I can see why you chose this subject it suits the raking light well, what a shame you missed the deadline but I̢۪m pleased you were still able to submit it to this challenge. It is a lovely study but I do find the water a little distracting only because I can̢۪t tell where the source is, I think I would probably have cloned it out. The other thing is your exposure is just about borderline on the highlights, a little less exposure would have suited it better I think.

All in all I think you̢۪ve made a lovely job Susie, thanks for your entry
