6/12/16 All this week I've been suffering from a sinus/inner ear problem that has left me feeling very dizzy a lot of the time, so I didn't take my camera with me when Robert and I went shopping.
However, on the way home I couldn't resist this wonderful field of cornflowers, interspersed with poppies and coreopsis. Robert had been shooting for this challenge and had his camera set up to shoot raw +jpg and with the wide angle lens on, so I borrowed it, leant (leaned?) against the fence and shot a few using the screen rather than the viewfinder as this seemed to cause less dizziness. Seeing me do this, Robert kindly yelled a question/reminder from the car, asking how wide I was shooting and reminding me that with the wide angle lens it would be very easy to capture a bit of sky without realizing it. He was right! so I lowered the camera for the rest, trying to add interest by including at least part of the tree.
It's so nice to live in a place where your drive home can take you past a field like this.
Happy to report that the dizziness is much less frequent this evening. It's really quite amazing to think about what takes place routinely in the ear and brain so that most of the time we can walk, look around, etc. etc. and still keep our balance.
Appreciate the comments. Thanks.
