 Well, this is no Manet style "snapshot" as suggested in the description - I do hope it will not get slammed by the voters

This was my inspiration:
Manet: Berthe Morisot

I wanted to show a matchable situation that might remind the viewer of the original painting. Fortunately I own that fancy little hat which gives the necessary zest to the Setup imo

Took a photo of my daughter and added these pp steps:
removed some stray hair and skin blotches
adjusted levels
desaturated about 40%
burn (left side of the face)
added some texture to the background
duplicated layer
added filter "dark strokes" to the new layer
brought back some details of the blouse by using a mask
flattened layers
removed the shadow under the chin by cloning
duplicated layer
added Filter "Median" to new layer
added mask and applied new layer only on neck and cheek up to 60%
flattened layers
resize
