Woohoo! Finally got that elusive second ribbon! Thanks to all for the votes and comments.
This idea came to mind as soon as I saw the challenge title. I had only seen pictures of the Balancing Rock of Long Island, near Tiverton in local galleries and tourism guides. So, I jumped in the car at 5 a.m., droved 3.5 hours to the site, hiked in for half and hour and took close to 100 shots. I wanted to get more shots from different angles, but I was by myself in a very isolated spot... not somewhere to get hurt, so I stayed on the viweing platform. I plan on returning later to take more pitures.
Thanks to my wife Julie for giving me day off to capture this image. It was an awesome day!

I think this is a great shot - congratulations. Why do so many people knock the conon 18-55 mm lens ? I have foud it to be very useful and an ideal carry around lens. |

Congratulations :)
I was worried a bit how you will end up, but I can see many people found it bizzare or amazing as I did. That is a well deserved ribbon. |

Hallelujah!! I can FINALLY give something a 10!!! This has got to be one of the least inspiring challenges I've voted on. Thanks for allowing me to find a little gold in the pot. An image that not only MEETS the challenge but is beautiful as well. Great colors, lighting, comp. and crop. Love this. It's a fave. |

Very pretty scenic. Looks very peaceful. Also looks like the rock should fall anytime, yet it stands tall. |

That's AMAZING!, wld have tot that it be placed as a focal point cause at 1st glance the sea caught the eye first instead of the ROCK, which I think was what you had intended to get the audience attention on. 8 |
