| The elements are there...a monkey, a calendar. For me it fails as a still life. The black backgound is dull but the absence of beatiful light is what kills it imo...and the ladder, I don't get the ladder. |

| I was hoping to learn from peoples interpretation of what the year of the monkey means. I haven't learnt much in this image I'm afraid. |
