WTF??
How did this almost win the brown?
Thanks for submitting this, I'm really glad you went with this... I found this shot incredibly inspiring, thought it fitted the challenge perfectly... I really don't understand the plaement of photos in this challenge.

Wow, I guess I didn't understand the challenge...I should have used a filter. Next time I will.

Focus and sparkles make this image very engaging and interesting.

returning for comment:
Very delicate and in a class of its own. The tinted colors give it an erthereal feel. Bumping up.

No pun intended ... I love this. The colours are fantastic and I always like that OOF/bokeh effect when it's done well.

I think this is definintely one of the stronger and more distinctive entries. I like the soft colors and the blur. 7

I like the impact of the background, but the crisp edges of the heart seem out of place.

The colors and background are just lovely. The foreground suffers a little from not enough blurring or not enough sharpness. It's sorta in between and makes me think it would have been better with a lot more focus or a lot less.

I think it would have been better with a less bold outline of the heart.

this is ok, i guess. it doesn't really move me one way or another. one thing i find a little disconcerting is the juxtaposition of the simple heart over something that almost looks like a discarded insect exoskeleton.

I'm not really sure what I'm looking at...but it's beautiful!! I give it a 9, I'm in love...

This photo is just exquisite, one of the best images I've seen on DPC. I hope you share your setup with us when the challenge is over. There really is nothing to fault here, the mood of the shot is exceptional. 10
