Greetings from the Critique Club!
I recognized this immediately as a dance recital shot, as I've shot them too, and they are hell on wheels to shoot. If you don't know the routine, how many dancers, and how the lights are set, it's very difficult to get a good shot. I like that you took a tremendous risk with the 3/4 angle, which is punishing because if you want to get a lot of body parts in focus you need a ridiculously high DOF. Otherwise, to be perfectly honest, I can do little more than parrot what primabarbara has already said with regards to the crop and so forth.
I hope you have learned from this critique and will continue to enter challenges here.

This was at a performance, right? The possibilities to actually frame this shot were limited so you did quite a nice job on the given circumstances ( I tried to shoot at a dancing performance myself and know how hard it is)
Nevertheless I want to tell you why I rated this only 5:
I don't like her hand cropped off, the spare room above her head is missing at the bottom. The light on her face is not ideal since it is mainly on the turned away side. The cut between blue and black background is running right through the second girls head - would have been nice to have a consistent bg. But I like the determined expression which you picked up nicely in your title |

Nearer to the top than the bottom in my booklet. |
