What a wonderful capture. Not often do you get to see an eagle tongue. Glad I'm not a mouse in his field of view :) 9 |

this is one pissed off bird! i love the expression on his face - very nasty evil look. this is a great picture, with some lovely sharp details. the blurring of the background is also a nice touch and automatically makes one focus on whats in the fore ground. good job! 8. |

Very sharp, nice composition, and title. Not enough feather detail in the lower portion of the shot. I gave you an 8 |

I can see this with a yellow border around it & the words National Geographic there too. The timing & DOF are just amazing. 10. I just cant fault it. |

He clearly doesn't want his picture taken. The focus is perfect for me. The framing is what prevents me from marking his higher. I fell it's a bit awkward to have him in the bottom of the frame like that. If you were going for a centered composition, he needs to be up considerably higher so that his eyes arrest the center of the frame. I think a square crop would work nicely here. 5, just-married |

Do you ever wonder if perhaps despite way their face is shaped, they are actually bent double laughing? Oddly I could see that. Great catch either way. |
