Greetings from the Critique Club, Susan!
I should have known not to click for an image just after an abstract challenge, Ha! They're not "my thing".
I gave this a five during voting, so I'm not sure that I'm the best person to critique this for you. Or... maybe I am because... everyone else loved it!
I couldn't figure out the hoarfrost... I thought they were like a prisoner scratching the days, too.
The large, upper left triangle has nothing of interest in it (to me)... so it's almost like negative space to me. Then, when I got to the subject, I still wasn't excited. And, it all seems horribly over sharpened to me.
I do love the veins in the leaves on the right. They're quite lovely.

Plucked from the everyday by a photographer with a good eye. Intricate, well-composed and suggestive. The great detail lends intimacy to this almost other-worldly scene and, along with the uncertainty of shape and form, approaches abstraction from two directions. Also, both muscular and delicate. |

Ha! I didn't like this at all until I clicked it open. Then I LOLd. Well done. Good choices. |

I cover the title for it takes my mind from the scenario that popped into my mind. To me is more like the painful scratching of days of a prisoner
An interesting shot |
