Challenge: Phined the Phone (Advanced Editing VII) Collection: Portfolio Camera: Nikon D800 Lens: Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED Location: Vermont Date: Nov 29, 2015 Aperture: 16.0 ISO: 400 Shutter: 1/8 Date Uploaded: Nov 29, 2015

Multi-step project: First place iPhone on graph paper, go to DPC with Safari but log out to avoid identifiers, set up lights, make a portrait of it, print 8x10 on luster paper, attach to cardstock, print 20 piece jigsaw pattern, attach to back, sweet talk wife to use her excellent crafting scissors and skill to cut out the puzzle pieces, arrange on black table along with those scissors (you'd better believe I returned them after the shoot!), set up clamps for reflector and to hold iPhone as a light source, put camera onto tripod, set up the rest of the lighting, make the submission image. Actual iPhone in upper right corner may not be too difficult to find (at least if looking with a calibrated monitor), but it was fun thinking this up then making it happen.

So clever! I love it that you've included a photo of a phone... and the actual phone (upper right)!
And this meets the challenge topic perfectly! |
