 I know this probably won't do very well, but I'm submitting it anyway. It's my tribute to the thousands of retired racers who finally find their freedom. Every year about 3000 of these gentle souls gather in Dewey Beach, Delaware for a celebration. It is well deserved and I am lucky enough to be able to be a part of this....

hmmm...I would have liked to see the entire reflection of the dog. Nice otherwise

Great animal portraiture, and what better a scene for an ex-racer. I bet he loves to race the waves now that he's running for himself and his friend... Might not appeak to everyone, but I have a greyhound mix, so this picture makes me imagine this dog stretching his legs - I'm sure it's a regal sight. My only feedback is that image is a bit soft - maybe some more sharpening, or a faster shutter next time.

Excellent portrait - great sense of power and speed, for all he's so still. Real tension in his physicality, too. The waves make the location more important than perhaps would be ideal, and I don't find anything in that location or contrast to aid the image, but nice work all the same.

Love this photo! Only nitpics are the line of surf through the dog's head and the cut-off reflection in the water. Great pose & composition.

Lovely shot. A complete reflection of the dog might have improved it a little though.
